To Run With The Son
I am back in the regular schedule of putting one foot in front of the other as fast as I can, however today it was just a little slower than usual. Why? Not because I was hurting or feeling sick but because I was running with my son, Macuen. An explosive bundle of energy packed inside a 5 1/2 year old boy. We only ran for about a mile and a half (took 40 minutes) but we ran up the road, down the river, looked for salmon and enjoyed each others company. So I ask myself what is more important the mileage and speed or to run with the son. I was again shown there is no bigger challenge, or privilege then to be a Dad. To run with my son...That is what it is all about.
